Behind every good bit of plywood there's an old fireplace waiting to get out.
It will have some serious nails in the batons attached to the fireplace. Expect 6inchers.
It will most certainly be full of rubble.
But it will thank you when it is open again.

In the Manse Hall there were suspicions of fireplaces. There was a strong suspicion of a range: the cooker for the whole house.
Darren liberated it.




As Grieg, San, Julie and Steve pondered the remaining hardboard which had held a radiator, the chat fell to whether to open or not. Consensus: just leave it.
Last minute Julie call: open it.
Rubble. Dust. Hey presto.
